The KEDIT for Windows demo allows you to try out all of the features of KEDIT, and can edit all of the same files as the full product. The only difference between the demo and the production version of KEDIT for Windows is that there is a 75-line limit on the files that you can save to disk.
There are two separate versions of the demo: a 32-bit version for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/Me, and a 16-bit version for Windows 3.1.
When you purchase a full copy of KEDIT for Windows 1.5, you will receive diskettes containing both the 16- and 32-bit versions of the program. You will also receive a complete set of KEDIT for Windows documentation, including the 300-page User's Guide and 400-page Reference Manual. The contents of both of these manuals are available online in the KEDIT for Windows Help file, which is included with the demo.
The demo version of KEDIT for Windows is provided solely for the purpose of helping you evaluate the capabilities of KEDIT, and you have permission to use the demo only for that purpose.
Download the 32-bit Windows 95/98/NT/2000/Me version of the demo, in a 2 megabyte ZIP file.
Download the 16-bit Windows 3.1 version of the demo, in a 2 megabyte ZIP file.
After you have downloaded the ZIP file containing the demo, you can install the demo by unzipping the contents of the ZIP file to a temporary directory and then running the SETUP.EXE program from that temporary directory.
We can also send you a copy of the demo on diskettes. The diskette version of the demo contains both the 16- and 32-bit versions of the demo. The diskette version of the demo is free within North America; there is a $10 shipping charge outside of North America. If you want to order the diskette version of the demo, send e-mail to info@kedit.com Be sure to mention in your e-mail that you want the KEDIT for Windows demo, as opposed to the text mode KEDIT demo.
